Angel Roman is a Military Talent Partner with Nucor Corporation, a leading steel and steel products company, where she works to connect military-connected talent with career opportunities and strengthen the experience that follows the hire.

As a military spouse, Angel brings both a personal connection to the military community and a talent-focused perspective to a deceptively simple question: What happens after we hire the veteran?

Her work spans military recruitment, SkillBridge training program development, transition support, military-community partnerships, and Veterans of Nucor initiatives, with an increasing focus on the factors that turn a successful hire into a lasting career. She believes veteran retention goes beyond recruiting programs or compensation. It is shaped by culture: whether teammates feel a sense of belonging, understand how their experience translates, build meaningful relationships, receive opportunities to develop, and can see a future within the organization.

Angel also serves as a SHRM Military Community Ambassador, extending her commitment to advancing military-connected talent and strengthening the connection between the military community and the civilian workplace.
