Lindsay Knight

Lindsay is an applied social impact geek with over ten years of leadership experience in: strategic planning, systems change, and capacity building; bridging divides between closed social networks; and pilot program design, scaling, and evaluation. She has 20+ years of experience across grassroots community non-profits, multinational private sector firms, and academic and policy institutions. Her niche area of expertise is creating ways for public, non-profit, philanthropic, and private sector stakeholders to discover and achieve collective ends—while to designing and embedding equity practices within organizational structures.

She is the Chief Impact Officer at Blue Star Families. The Impact function houses all of the organization's touch points with 290,000+ members and is the center for innovation at the BSF. She has a PhD in Political Science from UChicago, with an area focus on civic responsibility, institutional change, and mixed-methods research. Lindsay is a mentor in the Institute of Politics’ Women in Public Service program, and serves on advisory boards for SXSWedu and Outdoor Alliance.
