Steve's commitment to service began in 1987 when he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves as a Combat Engineer. After graduating from Arizona State University in 1989, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and served as a Logistics Officer. His active-duty career took him across the Western Pacific and the Persian Gulf, including a deployment to Somalia for Operation Restore Hope aboard the USS Rushmore.

In 2000, he earned his MBA. While in the Marine Corps Reserves, Steve was called to active duty multiple times, completing two combat tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired as a Colonel in 2019 after more than three decades of service.

In 2016, Steve joined Vet Tix as the Chief Strategy Officer, continuing his deep commitment to the veteran community. Through numerous organizations in Arizona and across the country, he works passionately to connect transitioning service members and veterans with vital resources. His unwavering dedication was recognized with his inclusion in We Are The Mighty's MIGHTY 25 in 2021 and his induction into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame.
