CEO, Berry Law

John S. Berry is the CEO of Berry Law, America's Injured Veterans Law Firm. As CEO, John leads Berry Law with the mindset of a trial attorney and the discipline of a military officer, drawing on three decades of experience in law, military command, business growth, and advocacy for veterans.

John has spent his legal career representing clients in high-stakes matters, with a focus on veterans' disability appeals, personal injury, and other complex cases. He is an accredited veterans disability attorney and has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers for more than 10 years. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected to Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America.

Under John's leadership, Berry Law has become one of the leading veterans disability law firms in the United States, representing more than 34,000 veterans nationwide and recovering more than $700 million in backpay awards. Nearly a quarter of its roughly 275 employees are veterans or military spouses.

Before leading Berry Law, John served as an officer in the United States Army and the Nebraska National Guard. He was commissioned as an infantry officer after graduating from the College of William & Mary, completed Airborne School and Ranger School, deployed to Bosnia as a platoon leader during Operation Joint Forge, and later served as a company commander in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired as a lieutenant colonel after more than 20 years of service and was inducted into the Nebraska National Guard RTI Hall of Fame. John earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Creighton University School of Law.
