LT. TIM MULLINS

Lieutenant Tim Mullins is a Department of Public Safety Lieutenant for the City of Las Vegas Department of Public Safety. In his role, Lieutenant Mullins oversees and coordinates the activity of the Deputy City Marshal unit. He also coordinates assigned activities with other city departments, divisions and outside agencies; and provides administrative support to the Department’s executives.

Tim, a proud Nevada resident for 30 years brings over 24 years of extensive law enforcement expertise from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). His diverse background encompasses roles in patrol, field training, technology, investigations, community-oriented policing, corrections and management. Serving as a crisis intervention detective and coordinator in his final classification with LVMPD, Tim led and instructed over ,1000 Southern Nevada commissioned personnel in crisis intervention training and implemented innovative community approaches to address mental health challenges. Tim's commitment to training is evident in his contributions as a certified firearms, defensive tactics, and mobile assault and counterterrorism instructor. Alongside his impactful law enforcement career, Tim pursued dual master's degrees in Public Administration with an emphasis in Emergency Management and Executive Leadership from Columbia Southern University. His military journey, starting with the United States Marine Corps and transitioning to the Navy Reserves, reflects decades of dedicated service, currently holding the position of Commanding Officer for the largest Naval unit at Nellis A.F.B.
