Matt Kenney

Matt Kenney

Matt Kenney is a third generation Arizonan and veteran. He was commissioned into the Army in 2007 as an active-duty infantry officer and served in Iraq.  After his honorable discharge in 2013 Matt went back to Arizona State University to attend Law School.

During law school, Matt began volunteering for veterans organizations and was leading a veteran advocacy organization when the 2014 VA Scandal occurred. As a result, Matt organized hundreds of veterans to advocate for VA reform in Arizona and Washington DC. Following that grassroots campaign Matt continued to work in politics and public affairs as a Partner with Echo Canyon Consulting.

Matt currently serves on the Veterans Advisory Commission which oversees Arizona Department of Veteran's Services and on the AZ Attorney General’s Veteran and Military Families Advisory Board. He also serves as a member of the AZ Chamber of Commerce, Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations and Arizona Defense and Industry Coalition. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Brittany and their three children Braiden, Eden and Rowan.
