Doug Lindsay.

Dr. Douglas Lindsay is a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel, leadership expert, journalist and executive coach whose career has focused on understanding, developing and telling the stories of those who lead and serve.

Doug currently serves as Deputy Editor and Brand Ambassador for Military.com, where he writes and edits stories focused on the military and veteran communities and represents one of the nation’s largest military-focused media platforms. He is also the founder of Next Mission Leadership, where he works with leaders and organizations to turn experience into greater impact, influence and purpose.

During his 22-year Air Force career, Doug served in a variety of leadership and academic roles, including as a professor and interim department head at the U.S. Air Force Academy and a deployment to Afghanistan. After retiring from the military, he served as a Professor of Practice and Executive Director of the Master of Professional Studies in Psychology of Leadership program at Penn State. Doug holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Penn State and has more than 1,500 hours of executive coaching experience.
